INFORMATION

EverGreen offers high quality respirators at reasonable price for our customers.

REUSABLE RESPIRATOR

Reusable Respirator are recommended in a workplace where harmful gases or vapors, in addition to particulates.

What is a Reusable Respirator?

Unlike disposable masks, a filter or cartridge is directly
mounted to an independent facepiece and
replaced upon the end of its lifecycle.

Types of Reusable Respirator

Full Facepiece

Covers the entire face

Half Facepiece

Covers around the nose and mouth only

Mount a vapor cartridge to use as a cartridge respirator.

Recommend Applications for Particulate Filter by Grade

Special
  • · Environments containing toxic particulates, such as Beryllium.
  • · Environments handling asbestos

※ However, visor filtration-type special grade filters are not to be used for handling carcinogenic substances,
such as asbestos.

1st
  • · Environments containing particulates other than the ones that require special grade masks.
  • · Environments containing particulates generated by heat, such as metal fumes.
  • · Environments containing mechanically generated particulates.
(Excepts in cases for particulates such as Silicon, where 2nd grade masks are permissible)
2st
  • · Environments containing particulates other than the ones that
require special or 1st grade masks

Recommended Applications for Vapor Cartridges by Grade

Recommended Applications for Vapor Cartridges by Grade
Grade Applications
High concentration Gas or vapor concentrations below 2% (3% for ammonia)
Medium concentration Gas or vapor concentrations below 1% (1.5% for ammonia)
Low/lowest concentration Gas or vapor concentrations below 0.1% Not for emergency

※ Use a cartridge respirator where the oxygen concentration is >18% and facepiece
(SCBA/Reusable) in case of medium/high concentration.

※ Inward leakage: <0.05% for full facepiece and <5% for half facepiece

Vapor Cartridge Colors by Gas Type

Vapor Cartridge Colors by Gas Type
Gas Color Coding for Cartridges Harmful Substances
Organic compounds Brown Gas or vapor of organic solvent
Halogen
Hydrogen sulfide
Hydrogen cyanide
Gray Halogen gas or vapor
Hydrogen sulfide gas
Hydrogen cyanide gas or cyanide vapor
Sulfurous acid Yellow Sulfurous acid gas or vapor
Ammonia Green Ammonia gas or vapor

How to use and care for a cartridge respirator

  • · It should be appropriate for the task.
  • · Use a supplied air respirator when working in a place with an oxygen concentration of less than 18% and toxic gas concentration of less than 2% (3% for ammonia) or working over an extended time.
  • · Replace immediately after the breakthrough time specified in the instruction manual.
  • · Keep sealed in a cool place.
  • · Follow the instructions on how to care for disposable respirators for the facepiece, exhaust valve, etc.
  •     Breakthrough time: The time until toxic gases pass through without being filtered.
