INFORMATION

EverGreen offers high quality respirators at reasonable price for our customers.

POWERED AIR PURIFYING RESPIRATOR

Powered air purifying respirators (PAPR) with an air purifying device are recommended for
effective protection against high concentration particulates and toxic substances.

What is an PAPR?

PAPR prevents inhalation of
harmful substances and provides respiratory
protection to the wearer in environments with
high concentration of particulates or toxic
substances or when working long hours in labor-
intensive work environments.

Breathing-activated PAPR have the following advantages

  • · Breathing-action allows constant flow of clean air, resulting in greater comfort for the wearer.
  • · Positive-pressure within the facepiece allows high stability.
  • · The filter lasts longer as the fan operates according to the wearer’s respiration.
  • · The fan operates even when the facepiece is distorted, reducing the risk of particulate inhalation.
  • · The respirator is switchless; ventilation starts with just one breath upon wearing the device and stops automatically in 5 seconds after taking off the device.
  • · There is no disconnection risk; the electric fan, battery, and filter are integrated into the device,
so there are no airpipes or a power cord.

Comparison between Breathing-activated PAPR and Constant Flow PAPR
Breath Responsive
PAPR
  • · Simple
  • · Use immediately after fit check
  • · Simple
  • · Finish work with no switch operation
  • · Wash with water after removing the filter media, fan unit, and battery
Fan operation
Risk response The fan maintains positive pressure within the facepiece at all times, decreasing the risk of particulate inhalation.
It is very easy to breathe, as the pressure within the facepiece is adjusted based on breathing.
Filter life The fan rotates during inhalation and stops during exhaustion,
meaning extended filter life as it does not collect unnecessary particulates.
Constant Air
Flow PAPR
  • · Need to check accessories, such as airpipes
  • · Difficult to equip and may interfere with other safety equipment
  • · Need to check external accessories
Fan operation   Always in operation
Risk response The fan maintains positive pressure within the facepiece at all times, decreasing the risk of particulate inhalation.
However, since a constant flow of air is blown into the facepiece, exhalation does not feel comfortable.
Filter life Since the fan rotates constantly, the filter collects a large amount of particulate deposits,
meaning the filter life is shorter than that of the breathing-activated filter.
